Level 1 - Mirimiri & Romiromi Wānanga

Focus: Introduction into Mirimiri & Romiromi, the protocols, philosophies, tikanga that are the pillars of these powerful modalities. The importance of selfcare and how to maintain this safely, while implementing the traditional Māori bodywork, spiritually, mentally/emotionally and physically. This is a hands-on wānanga, helping yourself and the ones you care about in a holistic approach to wellness.

This Wānanga is for professionals from all ethnicities, and beliefs concerning hauora
(health and wellbeing) Those that are seeking health and wellbeing for yourself, whanau,
and /or looking for ways to support their communities through wellness in a holistic
approach, through a Te Ao Māori framework. Beginners to practitioners, no matter what
industry or situation, stay at home parent, employed, non-employed, starting on your
spiritual journey, to feeling as though you’re not getting to where you want to be; you will
come away with something that aligns with you.
Note: This Wānanga does not make you a practitioner.


Event Schedule:

You will be aligning with Adele Hubbard, who is a Rongoā Māori practitioner based in
Rotorua. Adele is of Te Arawa, Tuwharetoa, Ngati Maniapoto, Tainui/Waikato, Ngati
Kahungungu, Tuhoe, Rongowhakaata descent.

  • Saturday & Sunday:  Pōwhiri (welcoming) Whakawhanaungatanga
    (get to know each other), introductions and outline of next 2days.

  • Introduction into the foundations of traditional Māori
    bodywork and healing. Hands-on practical Mirimiri & Romiromi sequences, how intergenerational trauma plays apart in our day to day mauri, chakra energy session and hygiene of the mind, body and spirit. lives and addressed through a wairua lead approach. Clearing your mauri, chakra energy session and hygiene of the mind, body and spirit.

    Completion certificate of attendance to Level 1 Wānanga and continued
    support group.
